   Μονογραφία για το ρόλο των σπηλαίων (τόποι γεννήσεων, καταβάσεων, διαβατήριων τελετουργιών, τόποι μετάδοσης γνώσεων και αυτογνωσίας) στην ελληνική μυθολογία, ελληνική παράδοση, από τη γέννηση του Διός, στον Όμηρο και, φυσικά, στη διάσημη «αλληγορία του σπηλαίου» του Πλάτωνος.

  Ο ρόλος των μεταλλείων-ορυχείων ήταν καθοριστικός φυσικά για την παρουσία του θέματος-μοτίβου των σπηλαίων στην αρχαία ελληνική σκέψη και τις θρησκευτικές πίστεις (Ορφικοί Ύμνοι, Ελευσίνια μυστήρια, κ.λ.π.) καθώς και για την θέση ότι ο άνθρωπος επλάστη «ένδον γης».
