 < εκκινεί το φαινόμενο “Beatles” που θα αλλάξει την ιστορία της μουσικής στον εικοστό αιώνα συμπαρασύροντας μαζί του πλήθος μουσικών συγκροτημάτων και αλλαγή στον τρόπο ζωής.

   Νωρίτερα είχαν κυκλοφορήσει σε singles (δισκάκια) τα τραγούδια τους: 

/ - “Love Love Me Do” (Oct 1962),

/ - “Please Please Me” (Jan 1963) που είχαν γίνει επιτυχίες.

    Με την κυκλοφορία του συγκεκριμένου δίσκου μακράς διαρκείας (22 Μαρτίου 1963), στην αρχή ως Mono και λίγο αργότερα σε έκδοση Stereo, άλλαξε το σκηνικό στον πίνακα επιτυχιών στην Αγγλία.

   Ο συγκεκριμένος δίσκος, δίσκος συγκροτήματος, κατέκτησε για 30 εβδομάδες την πρώτη θέση, όταν αντικαταστάθηκε από τον επόμενο δίσκο-επιτυχία των Beatles που είχε τον τίτλο «With the Beatles”.

   Μέχρι τότε στον πίνακα επιτυχιών των albums κυριαρχούσαν κυρίως είτε soundrack albums είτε albums τραγουδιστών ελαφράς μουσικής (easy-listening).

   Η εφημερίδα “Daily Mirror σε άρθρο της (15 Οκτωβρίου 1963) πλάθει τον όρο Beatlemania για να αποδώσει το παραλήρημα των θεατών σε προηγηθείσα συναυλία του συγκροτήματος μία ημέρα ενωρίτερα.
